Al began with Cross Country Ski Ontario (then called Cross Country Ontario) in the 1990s. Please read more HERE.
Congratulations Al! Thank you for your outstanding achievements in officials development, race organizing, timing and volunteerism! Al will be presented with the award on Monday, May 9th at the XCSO AGM ~ 8pm.
XCSO Officials Mentorship Program Application
Cross Country Ski Ontario is introducing an Officials Mentorship Program. The aim of this program is to facilitate growing the pool of officials at the club as well as at the provincial level to support race organizations. Through increased collaboration and knowledge sharing, XCSO aims to improve the officials environment in the province while increasing
connections with other officials. Through this program, officials can share experiences, learn in different environments through exposure at races, apply knowledge in different roles at races in Ontario and become acquainted with various clubs and their venue.
Up to 10 officials will be selected for this program. The program will be administered by Katja Mathys, XCSO Coaching Development Co-ordinator. The mentors will be Alan White (XCSO’s official’s chair), race directors, TD’s, Chief of competitions, etc., depending on the assignments.
