Ontario Winter Games/ON Para Sport Games Criteria

The 2023 Ontario Winter Games will take place in Renfrew County Feb 9-12 and the Ontario Para Sport Games will take place in Durham County Feb 3-5.  Selection criteria and other information can be found HERE.

2022/2023 Ontario Cup Schedule

Cross Country Ski Ontario is pleased to announce the 2022/2023 Ontario Cup Schedule and host clubs.  The busy race season will include the 2023 Ontario Winter Games rescheduled from 2022; the Ontario Para Sport Games; Eastern Canada Cups; Canada Winter Games in PEI; and the 2023 Ski Nationals in Thunder Bay.  Please stay tuned to the Event Schedule as details become available.

2022-23 Nordiq Canada Coaching License

Coaches can now start signing up for their 2022-23 Nordiq Canada Coaching License
All coaches coaching for more than 7 hours/year must sign up for the 2022-23 NC Coaching License before starting to coach from July 1st 2022 to June 30th 2023 in order to continue benefiting from NC liability insurance coverage and other benefits

The NC coaching license is mandatory for all active cross country ski coaches in Canada who are coaching at least 7 hours per year with a registered cross country ski club.

NEW FOR ONTARIO

XCSO is committed to leading Safe Sport in our sport. As such, Cross Country Ski Ontario requires all Ontario coaches complete the Coaches Association of Canada’s Safe Sport (~ 90 minutes) and Understanding the Rule of Two (~ 20 minutes) e-learning modules. The free modules are available in the Locker.

XCSO will be monitoring compliance beginning September 2022 on a monthly basis.

2023 Ski Nationals & CCUNC Championships to be held in Thunder Bay

The 2023 Nordiq Canada Ski Nationals and Canadian College & University Nordic Championships will be held in Thunder Bay, Ontario at the Lappe Ski Centre.  Congratulations to Lappe Nordic and Big Thunder Nordic Ski Clubs for their successful bid.  The last time Nationals was held in Thunder Bay was in 2018.  Read more HERE.
