Spring Series Club Championships!

Congratulations Team Hardwood

2022-23 XCSO Spring Series Club Champions!

A big shout out to all 13 clubs who participated in this year’s event!   The Spring Championships were first held in North Bay in 2019.  This year we had mid-winter snow depths with amazing trail conditions thanks to all the hard work from the organizers and volunteers from North Bay Nordic.  Thank you North Bay Nordic for stepping up to host again this year!

Ramp Up your skill development programs!

Ramp It Up!!

Looking for a way to spice up your agility work?

Most skiers have had exposure to rollerski agility skill-development, mainly in the form of hops, jumps and various versions of tight corners.  Few skiers, however have had the experience of rolling smoothly through a set of ramps.

Why not start work on a set of your very own ramps? With a few tools and a little help from this resource guide you could be up and ramp’in in no time.

For further information, support or guidance on building ramps for your team/club contact:

Liz Inkila Retires!!!

It is with great celebration and admiration that we acknowledge a tremendously successful career!

Liz Inkila will formally retire from her position as Executive Director this June after serving 17 years with Cross Country Ski Ontario (XCSO).  Her leadership and professionalism brought us to a place where there is a high degree of value-congruence within our ski community.  Liz put people, particularly athletes, first.  XCSO has undergone significant change over the years and much of that has to do with Liz’s expertise, work ethic, and dedication to the people she served.

Liz has been Ontario’s biggest cheerleader and an amazing team member to work with.  We are incredibly grateful for her contributions and her passion for all things Nordic!

Team Ontario Points Update

Given that we are post-nationals and without an updated CPL, we have decided to hold off on any formal OST/OJST points update until after Nordiq Canada publishes final CPL on April 8th.  Any list produced now would be misleading and not representative of current athlete achievements.

Thank you for your patience as we work towards nominating our next Team Ontario!

As always, feel free to reach out to Bryan Dubeau at [email protected] with any questions.
